Before the start of the NBA 2018–19 season, Anta launched the all-new KT4 signature basketball shoe, designed by Rob Fuller, formerly a designer at. The KT4 features Anta’s highly acclaimed A-FLASHFOAM midsole technology—previously used in Anta running shoes. A-FLASHFOAM delivers exceptional cushioning upon landing, absorbing substantial impact and offering a soft, responsive feel comparable to ’ Boost technology. The most distinctive visual feature of A-FLASHFOAM the KT4 is the series of oval-shaped indentations the inner side of the shoe—resembling wormholes—which may unsettle individuals with trypophobia. However, the KT4’s outer side incorporates substantial structural support that fully encapsulates the midsole, effectively concealing these ‘wormhole’ indentations from view. Additionally, the KT4’s upper shows significant improvement over the KT3, adopting an entirely new woven construction that enhances both fit and support.
